Walt Disney Studios released the official trailer and also a new poster for “haunted house‘ (Haunted Mansion), a new film inspired by the popular Disney theme park attraction slated to premiere on July 28, 2023. Both the trailer and the new poster of the film are available below.

Director: Justin Simien(‘Dear whites‘) from a screenplay by Katie Dippold, the cast includes LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Chase W. Dillon, Dan Levy, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto.

The film tells the story of a single mother and her son who recruit a motley crew of spiritual experts to rid their home of supernatural residents. The film is being produced by Rideback’s Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich, with Nick Reynolds (also of Rideback) and Tom Peitzman serving as executive producers.

In 2003, Eddie Murphy starred in another theatrical adaptation, directed by Rob Minkoff. The film received generally negative reviews, largely due to the lack of suspenseful moments and lack of effective humor. Despite this, it managed to gross $180 million at the worldwide box office for a budget of $90 million.
