Karma Films presents the official trailer of ‘upon entry‘, a film written and directed by newcomers Alejandro Rojas and Juan Sebastián Vásquez, starring Alberto Ammann, Bruna Cusi, Ben Temple and Laura Gómez.

The film tells the story of Diego and Elena, a Venezuelan urban planner and a contemporary dancer from Barcelona, ​​who move to the United States on their approved visas to start a new life. Her intention is to boost her professional career and start a family in the “land of opportunity”. Yet upon entering the immigration area of ​​New York Airport, they are ushered into the second inspection room, where customs officials put them through an uncomfortable inspection process and a mentally draining interrogation to find out if the couple is hiding.

‘upon entry‘ is a production by Carles Torras, Carlos Juárez, Xosé Zapata, Sergio Adriá and Alba Sotorra for Zabriskie Films, Basque Films and Sygnatia, with the support of the Institut Catalá de les Empreses Culturals, the Autonomous Community of Madrid, the Basque Government and MEDIA -Creative Europe program and the participation of TV3 Televisió de Catalunya and RTVE.

After festivals like Malaga or South by Southwest in Austin, the film will be released in Spanish cinemas on June 16th.
