Jessica Capshaw returns in Season 20 – The Hollywood Reporter

Jessica Capshaw reports back to Gray Sloan.

The actress, who played Dr. for ten seasons from 2009 to 2018. Arizona Robbins returns to reprise her role in ABC's upcoming 20th season Grey's Anatomy. Capshaw walked out Grays in 2018, at the end of season 14, when Arizona moved from Seattle to New York so that her daughter Sofia could be in the same city with her other mother Callie (former series regular Sara Ramirez), as is the case with fans The “Calzona” couple seemed ready for a reunion.

Capshaw was co-written with Sarah Drew (April). Both actresses have since returned Grays as the series has made a point of giving closure to some of its most popular characters. At the time of her exit, producers said her exit was a creative decision, although sources claimed both Capshaw and Drew tried to negotiate a higher salary together.

Morales (Dead to me, self-reliance) will play Monica Beltran, a pediatric surgeon whose pragmatism and level-headedness have made her one of the best in her field. Her willingness to push boundaries can be admirable and exasperating, but she always aims to provide her patients with top-notch care.

Miyares (DMZ, Evil, When They See Us, The L Word: Gen Q) will appear as a recurring guest star, playing Dorian, an intelligent, warm-hearted and personable patient who is involved in a serious accident and struggles with his future.

Meg Marinis takes over the role of showrunner from Krista Vernoff in the 20th season Grays. Marinis was there Grey's Anatomy since the third season and has worked her way up to being a production assistant to a writer since she started working there. She then worked as a script assistant and medical researcher before moving up the executive ranks to executive producer, a position she held for the final four seasons. Marinis has written more than 25 episodes of the series.
