Lea Michele ended her career as a Broadway star Funny girl on Sunday.

The actress stepped into the role a year ago, replacing Beanie Feldstein, who debuted in the title role of Fanny Brice earlier this year.

She also posted a lengthy statement on Instagram about what she described as “the role of a lifetime.”

Along with a photo of her on stage, she captioned the post, “Thank you for all the love and support.” This has truly been the most extraordinary year and chapter of my life. I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
