'Seinfeld' actor turned 71 – The Hollywood Reporter

Peter Crombie, known for his role as “Crazy” Joe Davola in the fourth season of His field, has died. He was 71.

The actor's ex-wife, Nadine Kijner, announced on social media that Crombie died on Wednesday morning. she said TMZ that he had a short illness but did not share any further details.

“It is with shock and great sadness that I announce that my ex-husband died this morning,” said Kijner wrote on Instagram, followed by photos from their wedding day. “Thank you for so many wonderful memories and for being such a good man. Fly freely into the limitless source of light, Peter. May you be greeted with love by your parents and Oliver. So many people loved you because you were a kind, generous, caring and creative soul.”

In 1992, Crombie took on the recurring role of “Crazy” Joe Davola pn His fieldwhere his character terrorizes and threatens Jerry throughout the plot, which spans five episodes.

Years later, he played Frankenstein's creature in the 1997 miniseries House of Frankenstein. On television, he appeared in a handful of other shows such as Perfect strangers, American Playhouse, As the world turns, HELP, law and order, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, LA Law, LA firefighters, picket fences, NYPD Blue And Walker, Texas Ranger.

He also had roles in several films in the late '80s and '90s, including Broken vows, Born on July 4th, Good speaker, The doors, Rising Sun, Natural born killers, secure, Seven And At Walton Easter.
