The sequel to the Arthur Curry/Aquaman story is now in cinemas: Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom, Director: James Wan. However, What was noticeable in the film’s trailer was that Willem Dafoe’s character Nuidis Vulko does not appear. Now the director explains why the sixty-year-old actor didn’t return for the film.
The sequel to Aquaman will continue to tell us the journey of Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) as the protector of his kingdom Atlantis. In particular, we will see the development of the relationship between Curry and Orm, his half-brother played by Patrick Wilson, who acted as an antagonist in the previous film. In this first part, Willem Dafoe acted as Arthur’s mentorTherefore, it was logical to expect his character to appear in this sequel.

In an interview with Weekly entertainmentJames Wan confirmed that Dafoe was uncredited Aquaman 2. However, there is no need to worry as it all comes down to scheduling conflicts:

At that time, Atlanna welcomed Orm, but she is eventually banished from the kingdom of Atlantis until she is reunited with Arthur.
