Here we go with the first trailer of the third season of ‘The Witcher’, a new adventure for Geralt de Rivia (Henry Cavill) and his friends in which we’ll see how the protagonist once again faces some terrible monsters. Volume 1 (episodes 1 to 5) of this third season will be released on the platform on June 29th, Volume 2 (episodes 6 to 8) will be released on July 27th.

Based on the hit fantasy series, The Witcher is the epic tale that unites destiny and family. Geralt of Rivia, a reclusive monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where humans can be more ruthless than animals. But when fate leads him to a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a dangerous secret, they must learn to navigate a volatile continent together.

In anticipation of the new season, in which the continent’s monarchs, wizards and beasts will compete to capture her, Geralt goes into hiding with Ciri, determined to protect his newly united family from those who threaten to destroy them. Blamed for Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads her to the sheltered fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to discover more of the young woman’s untapped powers. Instead, they discover they have landed on a battlefield of political corruption, black magic, and betrayal. You must fight back, risk everything or risk being lost forever.

The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. The important role of Ciri, Princess of Cintra is played by Freya Allan (‘War of the Worlds’). Other court figures in Cintra are Queen Calanthe (Jodhi May) and her husband, the knight Eist (Bjørn Hlynur Haraldsson), and the druid Mousesack (Adam Levy). The sorceress Yennefer is played by Anya Chalotra, while the head of the magic academy in Aretuza is Tissaia (MyAnna Buring).

Based on the stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is created and produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who also serves as showrunner. Sean Daniel and Jason Brown of the Sean Daniel Company will serve as executive producers, along with Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko of Platige Image.

Let’s remember that this will be the last season for Henry Cavill as the actor leaves the project and leaves his place to Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia.
