Ed Sheeran rocks to star crowd at SiriusXM concert in Amagansett – The Hollywood Reporter

The stars came to Ed Sheeran’s SiriusXM show in Amagansett, New York on Monday night.

Paul McCartney, Stella McCartney, Billy Joel, Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld, John Mayer, Howard Stern, Jon Bon Jovi, James Corden, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Gwyneth Paltrow, Andy Cohen, Anjelica Huston , Michael J. Fox, Brooke Shields, Christie Brinkley and Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports were among those who turned up for the intimate show at the Stephen Talkhouse live music venue on Main Street The Hollywood Reporter source present.

Sheeran kicked off an hour-long set at 7 p.m., taking the stage in a tent structure outside the popular venue after an introduction from SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein. The company announced the performance less than a month ago, promising it to be an exclusive concert for SiriusXM subscribers and fans.

“We couldn’t be more excited that Ed Sheeran, one of the top artists on the planet, will step down from his stadium tour to present an intimate show for SiriusXM at the Stephen Talkhouse, a truly iconic venue,” Greenstein said in a press release from July 20, in which the show is touted. “This will be a unique experience for the lucky local fans and for our listeners across the country.”

Brandi Carlile, Coldplay, Dave Matthews, The Killers and Mumford & Sons have all headlined the show. For his performance, Sheeran delivered a setlist that included “Thinking Out Loud”, “Shape of You”, “Castle on the Hill”, “Don’t”, “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You” and “Bad contained “Habits” and selected tracks from his new album Subtract including Eyes Closed.

Judging by what was happening in the VIP area, the audience was ecstatic to see McCartney jam while Corden sang along to Sheeran’s hits. Notable: Guests treated themselves to slices of pizza from new, celebrity-friendly company Fini Pizza. The Main Street pizzeria took over the former premises of Astro’s Pizza earlier this summer and has quickly become a foodie destination frequented by the likes of Jessica Seinfeld.

Finally, Sheeran thanked Stephen Talkhouse for hosting and all participants for coming out. “Thank you Sirius XM and everyone there for always playing my tunes and always supporting me from the start.”

The concert will air August 16 on SiriusXM’s Ed Sheeran Channel and will air again later in the week. The Sheeran Channel starts August 15th and runs through August 21st on the SXM app and Channel 104. SiriusXM hit 1 will be streaming the show in September. 1 and will also be available in the SXM app.
