Iman Vellani says box office concerns concern Bob Iger – The Hollywood Reporter

Iman Vellani would rather receive positive feedback on her film The wondersinstead of focusing on its performance at the box office.

The actress spoke with Yahoo Entertainment about the latest disclosure in an interview published online Thursday. During the conversation, Vellani referenced Disney CEO Bob Iger when asked about the financial return on the film, which opened last weekend in North America to $46.1 million, marking the worst start in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe represents.

“I don’t want to focus on something that’s not even in my control because what’s the point?” said Vellani, who plays Kamala Khan in the feature film. “This is for Bob Iger.”
