What can we expect from it? InvincibleSeason 2?
What’s special about the new episodes is that they took about two years to release. For fans, the wait seemed like forever, but in an interview with InverseRobert Kirkman promised that patience would be rewarded with the quality of the story:
“Animations generally take a long time, so that has a lot to do with it. The pandemic, quarantine and everything else came at the worst possible time in terms of the drop in production after the first season and the arrival of the second, which significantly complicated the process and slowed things down a bit. We are very excited to see what happens. I wish I could say something more specific, but the time will come and I’m very excited.”
Given the scope of the comics and the good response from audiences, Kirkman also believes there are many seasons left to cover the entire story. He admitted this in a conversation with Polygon last September:
“I try not to limit it to a number because it’s kind of a moving target. In my opinion, a range of seven to eight seasons seems to be sufficient. But there may be some things we’re moving a little faster on, some things we’re expanding. If we’re lucky enough to last long, I think it would be enough to cover the entire comic.”
