New trailer for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”!

The Japanese division of Warner Bros. presents a new trailer with many new images from “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom“, the highly anticipated sequel to DC’s highest-grossing film of all time, again starring James Wan as director and chief creative officer.

After failing to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to defeat Aquaman once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever as he wields the power of the mythical Black Trident, unleashing an ancient and malevolent power. To defeat him, Aquaman turns to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former king of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must put aside their differences to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family and the world from irreversible destruction.

Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, who now has to juggle his duties as King of Atlantis and as a new father; Patrick Wilson is Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother and nemesis, who must now take on a new role as his brother’s reluctant ally; Amber Heard is Mera, Queen of Atlantis and mother of the heir to the throne; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is Black Manta, more determined than ever to avenge his father’s death by destroying Aquaman, his family, and Atlantis; and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, a fierce leader and mother with the heart of a warrior. Also reprising their roles are Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom‘ is produced by Peter Safran, Rob Cowan and the aforementioned James Wan, with Galen Vaisman and Walter Hamada as executive producers. The screenplay is by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who also wrote the first film, and is based on a story by Wan, Momoa, Thomas Pa’a Sibbett and Johnson-McGoldrick himself.

Joining Wan behind the camera once again is his outstanding team of “Aquaman” craftsmen: cinematographer Don Burgess, production designer Bill Brzeski, editor Kirk Morri, composer Rupert Gregson-Williams and music supervisor Michelle Silverman. The technical team also includes visual effects supervisor Nick Davis (‘The Dark Knight’) and costume designer Richard Sale (“Ready Player One”).
