Some ghost you can’t get rid of? Trailer for “The Dead Detectives”

Netflix has released the first trailer “The Dead Detectives”, a new series based on Neil Gaiman’s comic book series whose release date has not yet been announced. This story of two great friends and ghosts solving mysteries has Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz as showrunners, with Yockey himself developing the series for Netflix.

The 8-part series follows two young ghosts named Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine who refuse to enter the afterlife so they can stay on Earth and investigate supernatural crimes. The characters first appeared in the comics in 1991 ‘The Sandman’by Gaiman.

For the official synopsis: Is there a ghost out there that you can’t get rid of? Or a demon that stole your deepest memories? If I were you, I’d call the Dead Detectives. In this supernatural series set in The Sandman universe, two teenagers find themselves in the afterlife… and are willing to do anything to stay together: from evil witches, hell, and even death itself flee. Using the medium of crystal, they will attempt to solve the most confusing paranormal cases in the realm of the living.

Based on the DC characters created by Gaiman and Matt Wagner, this Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television production comes from producers Jeremy Carver (“Doom Patrol”) and Steve Yockey (‘The Flight Attendant’). Leading the cast are George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri, as well as Kassius Nelson as Crystal Palace. The series also stars Briana Cuoco as Jenny Green, Ruth Connell as Night Nurse, Yuyu Kitamura as Niko and Jenn Lyon as Esther.
