IFC Films and Shudder have released the trailer for “When evil lurks“, scary possession film that comes from Argentina and is directed by Demin Rugna (“Scared‘).After going through the Toronto International Film Festival, the film will hit US theaters on October 6th, while its premiere on Shudder will take place on October 27th.

A pair of brothers find a mutilated body near their property and meet with the locals to investigate. They soon discover that the strange events in their village are the cause of a spirit that has come to a local who was waiting for the proper protocols to rid his body of the demon. Then there is an attempt to escape as the protagonists run towards the impending danger in order to shake the unrelenting clutches of the mind.

Rugna himself wrote the script for this horror film starring Ezequiel Rodríguez, Demin Salomon, Silvia Sabater, Luis Ziembrowski and Marcelo Michinaux.
