Shudder has released a first trailer for one of its upcoming original films:The puppeteer‘. Brandon Christensen (‘The devil’s curse‘) is the director of this film in which he plays the lead role Michael Pare, Caryn Richman And Alyson Gorske. The film will be released on the North American platform on October 6th as part of the annual “FearFest” program.

The Puppeteer, a convicted murderer sentenced to death, always maintained his innocence and that it was an evil force that controlled his body as he slaughtered his victims. Now Michal, the murderer’s daughter, begins to suspect that there may be some truth to her father’s claim as the people around her begin to die brutally. He must try to break the Puppeteer’s curse before everyone he loves is killed.

According to its director, the film has some similarity to ‘final destination’because it’s about taking a group of friends and exploiting them to cause horrific deaths. “We had a lot of fun developing these characters and then turning everything we know about them against themselves. I’ve killed characters before, but that was nothing compared to the grotesque machinations Shudder allowed us to do in ‘The Puppetman.'”Christensen said.
