The Marvel Cinematic Universe recently rocked a haunting revelation that changed its story. It turns out that the series secret invasion revealed to be one of the Avengers we’ve known since The man from Hierro (2008) is not what we thought. Now the director of the series admits he feared death threats because of his creative choices secret invasion.
In an interview with The Hollywood ReporterDirector Ali Selim acknowledged that the decision to cast James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) as an undercover Skrull might not be welcomed by everyone. In addition, he admits to having killed such popular characters as Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) or Thalos (Ben Mendelsohn) In the miniseries, it can also be a cause for anger among fans.

As for Maria Hill and Talos, the sixty-year-old director praised the professionalism of the actors who were responsible for bringing them to life. Likewise, he is aware that death does not necessarily mean a final goodbye for the characters within the MCU.
“Cobie Smulders never has a sad day. It is impossible. She shows up, does her job, loves it and brings an incredible vibe. her and Sam [L. Jackson] They had a bittersweet goodbye, but who knows where Maria Hill will end up”commented the director. “and with Ben [Mendelsohn], I have to say it was a bit the same. He loves being in the MCU, he’s grateful to be in the MCU, and if they try to kill him, he’ll die. He also knows that anything can happen and they will bring him back if they find a way to bring him back.”.
