What is promised is a debt: Apple presents the first trailer for “Argylle‘, a darkly humorous spy thriller by Jason Fuchs (‘Wonder Woman’, “It: Chapter 2”), which takes place all over the world and goes beyond reality.

Bryce Dallas Howard is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling spy novels whose greatest joy in life is an evening at home in front of the computer with her cat Alfie. But when the plot of one of his books, about secret agent Argylle and his efforts to uncover a global crime syndicate, begins to become a true reflection of the covert operations of a real spy organization, the quiet nights at home become a thing of the past.

Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (with Alfie in her backpack) will try to stay one step ahead of the murderers as the line between her fictional world and reality becomes increasingly blurred.

Henry Cavill, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, Sofia Boutella, Samuel L. Jackson, pop superstar Dua Lipa and supermodel Claudia Vaughn’s cat Chip (née Schiffer) as Alfie round out the main cast of this produced film by Adam Bohling, David Reid and the aforementioned Matthew Vaughn and Jason Fuchs, with Adam Fishbach, Zygi Kamasa, Carlos Peres and the aforementioned Claudia Vaughn as executive producers.
