Hollywood is about to shut down again after some very difficult years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The writers’ strike officially began on May 2nd and of course inevitably leads to the production stop of many series and films.

Series affected by the writers’ strike
The list below includes both shows that cannot be produced without a team of writers, such as series that have had a pause in their development due to the cessation of “scriptroom” activities.

Films affected by the writers’ strike
Although experts estimated that the major Hollywood studios would be spared a major impact on their production and release schedules for at least four months, some projects have already confirmed delays in their development. Here are the most famous:

Productions NOT affected
Here are some films and series currently in development whose scripts were already finalized before the strike began. Therefore, they will continue their work schedule normally.
